1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons maple extract
8 cups favorite chex cereal (corn, rice, and/or wheat)
1 cup honey roasted cashews and peanuts, optional
Preheat oven to 225. In open roasting pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in brown sugar and maple extract. Gradually add cereals and nuts, stirring until evenly coated. Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15. Spread on waxed paper to cool.
